This workshop invites participants to explore the landscape of the voice—its textures, shapes, and frequencies.
It introduces a range of extended and extreme vocal techniques that Jana Jacuka has explored in the performance HA, in The Fortress (Venice Biennale | Dutch Pavilion) and is currently developing in the research for her upcoming work, AAA (working title), such as yodeling, grunting, high-pitched vocalization, vocal distortion on the inhale, and other textured vocality's.
Within a playful environment, participants are invited to discover how these sounds resonate, travel, and transform within their own bodies.
No previous vocal or movement experience is required—only curiosity and a willingness to make noise!
